The Regular Theatre was founded in the summer of 2017 by friends and students then attending Xavier University, with the express purpose of coming together to create artistic opportunities for themselves and for their classmates.​

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Regular Theatre is to create opportunities for local artists and new friends to work on engaging and relevant projects that speak to a diverse audience of regular people.
Diversity Statement:
The Regular Theatre is committed to creating opportunities to produce and enjoy art, by and for people of all ages, races, religions, nationalities, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations and identities, as well as people of every citizenship status. We are also committed to presenting a diverse set of viewpoints, and working with artists from various backgrounds to ensure the authenticity of artistic license to tell those stories.
